Day 11

Today I weigh 145.  I'm not sure how stable that is, but it's something.

Today was also brutal especially on the coordinated front.  The usually easy instructor pulled out steps and bumped up the coordination to a level where I just gave up and kept moving.  I hate when they do that.

In other news, we had a great St. Valentine's Day.  We went to Mass and then after lunch went to the last day of the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.  If you know anything about it, it is the world wide event.  There are people who come from all over the planet and you cannot find a hotel during that weekend.  If you go the last day, the venders often deeply discount their wares because they don't want to transport them back.  Perfect day to go jewelry shopping.  My husband ended up buying me a laboratory created diamond ring.  It's pink.  The thing about laboratory created stones is that they are just like mined gems.  Same composition.  They look so similar that they have to be marked so a jeweler knows the difference.  The difference between a mined and a lab created is 1)no monopoly and 2)not mined in an area of political struggle.  So the lab gems are cheaper and without the environmental/political attachments to them.  #LaudatoSi

I made a nice meal, and the kids settled down and watched their favorite move Wall-e.  While it's another #LaudatoSi moment, the main reason is because the love story between Wall-e and Eve is so cute.  There isn't that one is bad for the other (Frozen) or you are disobeying your family (Aladdin) or one clearly needs to grow up (Princess and the Frog).  It's a movie where they are working together against a couple of bad robots who are the disobedient ones.  They also don't necessarily hate each other even if Eve initially doesn't catch on that Wall-e likes her.  But once they form an alliance beyond friendship, it's so sweet.  Something to model in your own life.

So how was your weekend?
